This is a fine pendant lampshade that was retailed by Broste Copenhagen - in relatively recent years. The shade is made of metal and has a rich gold-copper patina applied to the outer shade.
Broste was founded in Copenhagen in 1955, It initially concentrated on selling vintage items alongside things made by Danish craftworkers and designers. Over the decades it continued to sell vintage and contemporary gifts and household fittings with an emphasis on quality design which fits in with contemporary Scandinavian living.
This lamp comes in three parts - the coolie shaped shade - and the pronounced bulb holder section which screws onto the shade - the hanging cable is made of black cloth and there is a ceiling rose to complete the look.
The bulb holder inside the shade is for a European screw-in light bulb - as you might find on sale in Ikea, as photographed.
It is in very good condition - and even retains its original Broste, Copenhagen ticket, as photographed. I think that this design has now been discontinued and it is difficult to find other ones for sale.
It will look just so stylish in a Scandi-modern interior.
It will be sent to you the in UK with Royal Mail Medium Parcel (Recorded Post). This will cost £6.95 and applied to your order at the checkout.
