This is a fine mid-century 1950s glass plafonnier lampshade.
It has an opaque mottled white colour main body colour. The white glass has a dappled decorative pattern in the glass. The flycatcher also has three decorative rings running around the shade - like Saturn's ring - so a bit space-age in feel.
I have taken a lot of images for your inspection.
The shade comes complete with chrome-coloured chains which attach to the three chrome hooks on the shade.
It is called a goldfish bowl shade - and is also known by its cheeky nickname a "flycatcher" shade.
The shade is in excellent condition with no nasty chips or cracks to the glass - the glass is a bit thinner than usual on this one - so not so much weight to it hanging from your ceiling. It has a slightly convex shape on the outside at the base section.
It is a nice larger size - it has a diameter of 13 1/2 inches and a height of 5 1/2 inches. The interior aperture inside is 8 3/4 inches.
It will be sent to you in the UK using Parcelforce24 - this will cost £10 and applied to your order at the checkout.
