This is a lovely delicate little set. It is a fine Art Nouveau / early Art Deco pattern. The set consists of a fine bone china (almost translucent) teacup and saucer, and a matching side plate. These form a little trio set, as photographed.
The trio dates to the early 20th Century (the 1920s / 1930s) and was made by Paragon and has the old "star" mark on the base of each plate. This is for the Star China Company, Atlas Works, Longton, Staffordshire.
This is a very rare pattern and I can't find another example of this design on the trios.
I am lucky to have more item in this pattern - please check out my other paragon listings on the site - some pieces already sold!
I have a total of three trios listed on my site. If you wish for more than one of them - select the amount in the quantity box.
This pattern is very pretty in design and delicate - with lots of gilt areas - which are all in excellent condition with no losses or rubbing to the gold finish. As good as new!
All pieces are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
The cup is 2 1/2 inches in height and with a diameter of 3 inches. The saucer is just over 5 1/4 inches in diameter - so a very pretty cabinet cup for little delicate cups of tea. The side plate is just over 6 1/4 inches wide. The glaze has a warm cream tint to it.
