This is a cute 1960s / 1970s desktop or tabletop mirror. The design takes its inspiration from G-plan furniture and it would certainly look great on a nice teak bureau or chest of drawers.
I currently have a slightly larger square-shaped one available in my store.
This one as a ball joint on the top of the upstanding arm - which allows the mirror to be rotated. The mirror is a very sturdy example - and with a lot of weight to it - it does not fall over when moved and when the mirror is in its designated position it stays nice and firmly in place.
The comes on a heavy-duty thick silver-tone plywood base with a teak veneer.
The mirror issues from the base on a gold-tone pole - and it is attached to a sturdy wooden backing board.
The mirror is in excellent condition with no scratches or chips. It is substantial and of good quality. This is reflected in my asking price - £95 is certainly a bit of a bargain for the harder-to-find vintage piece.
The overall height to the top of the mirror is approximately 19 inches - and the base is 8 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch thick. The mirror is 11 1/2 inches in diameter.
It is a heavy item and unpacked it is 1.8 kg in weight.
This would limit it to being sold in the UK only. Postage with Parcelforce48 would be capped at £10 and applied at the checkout.
There would be free delivery on offer in central Edinburgh
