This is a fine piece of mid-century Norwegian design.
It is a highly sought-after very large serving platter measuring 15 3/4 x 10 3/4 inches.
The plate dates to the late 1950s or early 1960s and was made in Norway. It is from the Stavangerflint Flamingo range - as annotated on the base.
The pattern was designed by Inger Waage and it is called Bamboo.
Great for a Scandi-modern interior and serving up little tasty nibbles or titbits at a dinner party. Not only so pretty to eat from but also make fabulous wall plate decorations in a 50s kitchen.
Mu plate is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There are a couple of little light areas of craquelure to the clear glossy glaze near the blue fish on the top - and also again on the base - nothing to disfiguring. If perfect I would have listed this at £95 - but have reduced the price to take this into account.
