This is a lovely vintage Scottish art glass vase with is signed and dated 1991.
It was made by Lanmara Glass as etched on the base. The inscription reads Lanmara 1994 CR BI No. 1.
Lanmara Glass was established in 1994 near John O'Groats at Wick in Caithness. Although not signed as such - it is probably made Paul C Brown - who had worked at Okra Glass before setting up Lanmara with fellow glass artist Katherine Dearness.
It is certainly a very pretty piece of Scottish Art / Studio Glass, and reminiscent of lustres and colours on Isle of Wight Glass and early Okra pieces.
I love its rich cerise colour and all the iridescent random trails and tendrils of gold and purples which run vertically across the exterior surface. These early 1990s pieces are harder to find. My price for this pretty piece of Scottish unique handmade art glass is certainly a rather fair one.
It is 4 3/4 inches in height and with a diameter of 4 1/4 inches.
It is in excellent condition with no damage (any white flashes are not on the vase - but just caused by reflections when taking my photographs).
In the UK - it will cost £4.95 to post to you with Royal Mail Recorded Delivery - this will be added to your order at check out.
