This is a large piece of genuine Monart Glass dating to the 1930s.
It is a lovely bulbous ovoid shape. I love this very pale-grey shade on the main body section. There are lots of black flecks around the rim - and lots of gold aventurine flakes. The flecks really twinkle in the light. There is a band of black-flecked swirls coming from the top and onto the middle section.
The base of the vase has been polished flat and retains its paper label.
It is certainly a beautiful example of traditional Scottish glass. The grey colour would fit in perfectly with more contemporary interiors.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. I have priced this to take into account its unusual light grey shade, and all the swirls & gold flecks in this. It also has its original label. It looks so very pretty on display.
My vase measures 4 3/4 inches in height, and 4 1/2 inches at the widest point
