his is a rare limited edition paperweight - made in 2001 by the great Caithness glass designer, Colin Terris
It is annotated with the title and issue details which are engraved on the base.
This is a rarer weight made in 2001 and released to celebrate the late Queen's Golden Jubilee in 2002.
It is from an edition of only 500 weights. This is Number 269.
The title is Golden Jubilee Regal Reflections - and it is domed or egg-shaped.
It is a pretty weight - with two tear-shaped polished viewing windows one on each side. The interior has a long clear tear-drop air bubble. The base is a rich cobalt blue colour - and it has a circle of gold glitter on the base in the centre - around this gold circle there are teeny weeny controlled air bubbles - which rise up and form delicate peaks - and resemble the Queen's crown. The base is reflected into the back of the polished facet on the other side - as a "trick of the eye".
It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The paperweight comes with its box and its issue certificate.
Dimensions: Height is 4 1/4 inches. The diameter at the widest point is 3 1/4 inches. The weight unpacked is 750 grams.
