This is another pretty piece of Victorian Scottish pottery - made by Robert Heron & Sons / Methven Pottery / Links Pottery, Kirkcaldy.
It is one of a group of antique Scottish pottery vessels in this attractive pattern that I have for sale online.
This one is a very simple piece - and takes the form of a wee beaker.
Dimensions: Height is 4 inches. The diameter at the base is 2 1/2 inches and the diameter at the rim is 3 inches.
Code: K
This little beaker is in good antique condition. It has no disfiguring chips, cracks, or staining to the main body of the pottery. There is a tiny surface hairline crack on the base (see my last photograph) - this does not appear to go all the way through the body of the beaker - and looks like it is confined to only the top glazed layer.
Robert Methven Heron was the owner of the Fife Pottery in Kirkcaldy. He introduced a new pottery range called Wemyss Ware in 1882.
It is certainly a very fresh hand-painted spongeware pattern.
The price to post in the UK will be £4.95 - this is with Royal Mail 2nd Class Recorded and applied to your order at checkout.
If you would like more than one of my Heron / Methven items - I can cap multiple purchases at £10 in the UK.
