This is a pretty piece of vintage hand-blown Scottish art glass. It dates to around the 1950s.
It is certainly a pretty example with quite subtle pastel colours.
It follows the HF shape that Monart produced. But this is NOT a Monart example, but a slightly later vase made by Vasart, as signed on the base. The Vasart shape number is V041
The main body colour is more clear - with a light-mottled blue pattern towards the bottom section. The top is a darker aqua green shade - speckled and with swirls all around the neck. There are no gold aventurine flakes in the vase.
It has an etched signature on the base: Vasart, as photographed.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is on tiny scuff to the surface of the glass on the side - which you cannot see on display and can only really feel with your finger running over it. This little blemish is not damaged but occurred in the making. This is taken into account with my pricing.
A nice size for display - with a height of 7 1/4 inches. The diameter at the widest point is 7 inches. A nice substantial piece of Scottish Art Glass - unpacked it is 1.7kg in weight
Sadly, it will be UK posting only due to its size and weight. It will be sent to you with Parcelforce24. This will cost £10 and applied to your order at the checkout.
