his is a beautifully made 1960s Scottish Silver Necklace
It has an Edinburgh hallmark and the date letter M (for 1967).
It has the maker's initials JDS.
It is a substantial piece and of a nice length. The overall length is 22 inches (56 cm).
As you can see in my photographs - it is a fine piece - with each link is individually cast in Sterling silver and each of these links connected with sturdy small rings. There are a total of 17 oval link sections.
I love the closing hook - which is cast as part of the last link and hooks onto another of the rings. The closure is almost invisible when worn. Each of these pierced disks is highly polished with a mirror effect and very shiny.
There is a good amount of silver in this necklace - it weighs in at 48 grams. It is lovely and shiny and clean - and all ready to wear. It has no condition issues considering it is now about 55 years old!
The necklace will be sent to you with Royal Mail Special Next Day so that it is fully insured in transit. This will be capped at £4.95 and applied to your order at the checkout.
