This is one of a small selection of unused vintage tea towels or bar cloths that I have owned for a number of years. They were all packed away in a wee box - so have just decided to add to my shop stock.
This one is made from a heavy weave cotton as annotated.
It is in pristine condition - a fabulous vintage Tetley Tea advertising collectable.
The colours are clean and bright. And it is a comical image featuring the wee Tetley men at the kitchen sink washing up all the dirty teacups and saucers. One wee man dreams of a staycation - he thinks about being on the beach with his beach ball and sitting in his deck chair drinking his amber nectar! It is more usual as it is circular in shape - again this one is a later issue - dating to the 1990s. Very cute all the same!
