This is very much an item on its time.
This is the second teapot in my store - I have just sold the other identical one that I had.
It is a caricature teapot of Margaret Thatcher and it is based on the satirical puppets which appeared in the 1980s show "Spitting Images".
The design was by Fluck & Law (creators of the puppets) and this is marked on the base of the teapot as photographed. It was manufactured by Carlton Ware.
You often find this Thatcher teapot with some damages - but my one is in pristine condition.
This Thatcher teapot is often teamed up with a similar coffee pot of Roland Reagan. There is also a Thatcher milk jug and egg cups featuring members of the Royal Family.
I have taken lots of images so that you can assess the condition.
It is a nice large pot - being about 8 inches in height. It is just under 12 inches in length from spout to handle and nearly 7 inches wide.
The pot is about 1 kg in weight.
I have priced this at £75- which is a fair price and takes into account its amazing vintage condition.
There is a certain fragility to the nose which could be damaged in transit without being packed up safely. So I would be looking at posting to the UK only using Parcelforce48 in a large sturdy box. This will cost about £10 and applied at checkout to your order.
