This is a sweet little vintage toffee tin - dating to the early 1960s.
It was made for Holland's Toffees.
The lid is in excellent condition with no fading or scratches to the decoration.
A little Santa is seen dancing on the snowy rooftops. He has a big sack full of presents and it about to jump down the chimney.
The tin is signed by the artist: Ferguson Dewar, who was a celebrated mid-century illustrator.
The base of the tin has quite a number of scratches and scuffs as photographed - which have occurred naturally with the tin being pick up and put down for nearly 50 years.
But given its age - a really nice tin and pretty fine vintage condition.
The tin is 12 cm in diameter and with a height of just under 3 cm.
The scuffs to the base are reflected in my asking price. The image on the lid displays beautifully.
Nice collector's item, and a fair price for this lovely Christmas tin.
