This is a highly collectable vintage 1950s Danish Art Deco-style Cohr tea / coffee service.
The set was designed by the Danish silversmith Hans Bunde in the 1950s, and it is now considered an iconic piece of mid-century Scandinavian design.
This vintage 1950s stylish set consists of four pieces.
Made in Denmark, in electroplated nickel silver with black bakelite handles and knops.
Each piece is marked EPNS, Cohr, Denmark, and has a torch mark.
A larger coffee pot or hot water jug which is 8 inches in height, and measures from spout to handle 9 inches.
Then we have a squat-shaped teapot which is 5 3/4 inches in height, and measures from spout to handle about 9 inches.
The milk jug is 4 1/2 inches to the top of the spout and from spout to handle is 4 3/4 inches.
The lidded sugar bowl has a diameter of about 4 1/2 inches - and a height of 2 1/2 inches.
CONDITION: All the pieces in the set are nice and shiny with no scratches or dents. There is a little area of rubbing to the plate on the side of the sugar bowl but only noticeable on close-up inspection in a raking light.
My price is a very fair one for this beautiful and highly sought-after design.
