This is a lovely vintage ceramic tea set - probably dating to the early 1950s.
It is a larger size set - with a total of 17 pieces: 4 cups, 4 saucers, 4 little side plate, 1 little cake plate, one milk jug, one sugar bowl, one teapot, and one teapot lid.
It was made by Amersham Pottery - and is a little nursery child's playset for 4 people.
It is in very good vintage condition - with no chips, cracks or restoration to any of the pieces.
It is more unusual in that it does not feature images of episodes from traditional nursery rhymes but perhaps one more inspired by the illustrations of Mabel Lucie Attwell.
I have taken lots of images for your inspection - so that you can clearly see all the different designs on each piece -
The tea set is still in the original base section of the box - but the plain blue card lie is no longer present (it had fallen to pieces!). I managed to salvage the label.
All the pieces are marked Made in England.
With the design being a little more of an unusual one - and all the pieces being present with a complete set and none missing - this is reflected in my asking price.
The set weighs just over 2 kg in unpacked - so to carefully pack to send to you in the UK - it will have to be posted with Parcelforce - this will cost £10 and will be applied to your order at checkout.
