This is an antique map of the Island of Zealand, Denmark
It is undated but dates to around the middle of the 18th century.
The map was made by Andrew Akerman (1721-1778) and engraved by E Osterberg. Akerman worked in Uppsala, Sweden and was a glovemaker in addition to being a cartographer.
Zealand is the largest and most populous island in Denmark. Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, is located partly on the eastern shore of Zealand and partly on the island of Amager. Other cities on Zealand include Roskilde, Hillerød, Næstved and Helsingør.
This is a fine original old map - printed on a fine laid paper - it has been engraved and highlighted with areas of colour - as photographed. You certainly won't be disappointed with it.
It is in excellent antique condition - and is framed for display.
It was a little tricky to photograph this old map through the glass of the frame - and there are a few white flashes or reflections on my photographs - this is just on the photos - rest assured these are not on the print.
The map is 18 x 14 cm
The frame size is a wooden one - and measures 32 x 26 cm

Unpacked it weights 700 grams (about 1.5 kg when all packed to post).
