This is a highly collectable set of ElastolinSoldiers - they date to the early 20th century.
Elastolin is a trademark used by the German company O&M Hausser (O&M Haußer) for the toy soldiers and other types of figures, Initially, these were manufactured from a composite material (as these ones are) and later from plastic.
The Hausser firm was founded in 1904 by Christian Hausser and his sons Otto and Max.
A pretty good set - consisting of nine marching bandsmen. All the figures are different - and play a variety of musical instruments.
All in fairly good vintage condition, as photographed. No nasty damages.
Each wee figure is about 2 1/2 inches in height.
