This is certainly a very beautiful paperweight to add to your collection.
It was made by the glass maestro at Caithness Glass, Colin Terris (1937 - 2006). This one is called Argon and is CT-797.
It is number 27 out of a limited edition of just 750 pieces (closed at No. 472).
This is another lovely weight by Terris. It has a rich bright Royal blue ground - which has a rippled layer of rose pink sandy textured glass on top. The main body is crystal-coloured clear glass which has a large air bubble in the center - and this is surrounded by a sprinkling of tiny controlled air bubbles.
The air bubble looks very white when seen from above and is backed by the rich blue ground.
It is of course in excellent condition with no damages (there is a tiny little white speck inside the glass which has appeared there in the making - but you don't see this when on display - it is not damaged to the weight - just a wee tiny flaw). The weight measures 3 inches in diameter.
