This is a quirky piece of 1960s ceramics.
It is a black and white coffee pot - designed by Carlton Ware in 1969.
The shape of the coffee pot is called Oslo (see my complete olive green set also in my Iconic Edinburgh online store).
The pattern is a rather Flower Power inspired one called Java.
I don't think that this shape and pattern were so popular when first issued - so pieces with this pattern now remain relatively rare.
My lovely pot of in relatively fine condition with no chips, cracks or damages.
Some light crazing to the glaze here and there - as you often find on pieces from this date - and seems to be an issue with some of the Carlton Ware glazes of this date.
The coffee pot stands approx 11 3/4" (30cm) tall including the lid.
