This another really fine Scottish glass paperweight which I am currently listing on my Iconic Edinburgh online store.
As you can see it is beautifully made and was created by Strathearn or Perthshire Glass, Scotland
This fine paperweight dates to the 1970s has a sugar pink base.
The canes are beautifully placed with twelve fine and delicate spiral latticino twists, which radiate as shorter spokes from the central rosette. The twisted latticino canes are plum and pale green in tone.
The central millefiori cane is a most unusual black star - and this is surrounded by a rosette of blue and pink canes each with a scarlet red center. Between the latticino spokes are more tiny canes of white, pale green and blue tones.
A bonnie weight and with such a pretty use of such delicate colours in this one.
It measures 1 3/4 inches in height with a diameter of about 2 1/2 inches.
The paperweight is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or polishing.
