This is a very rare advertising tin which dates to the late 1950s or 1960s - probably for display in a shop.

This is a very large biscuit tin - made for Cadbury's LUCKY NUMBERS Chocolate Assortment Biscuits.

It would hold a stonking 6 lbs of biscuits - phew! When you finished the biscuits you were given the option of taking the tin back to the shop and getting a two-shilling refund.

The tin measures. just over 9 inches in diameter - and with a height of 6 inches.

It is in a slightly shabby chic condition - please check all my images supplied.

There are some minor scuffs to the paintwork - these are mainly concentrated on the lid.

But the colours remain nice and bright and there are no nasty dents to the tin - or any rusting to it.

Given that it is now about 70 years old, I would say that it is just fine.

So to sum up - this is a large, rare advertising tin, but with some condition issues, but displays well.

Would make a great item for a window display in an old-fashioned sweetie shop - or on display in a vintage kitchen.

Although the tin has a patina of age - the tin has been carefully cleaned by me - and is not dirty or grubby in any way.

Due to its size - it will have to be sent as a medium-size parcel with Royal Mail - this will be a little more expensive than the standard size.
