This is certainly a very unusual piece of mid-century German pottery.
It is a fine space-age vase - which to me looks like a large Chess pawn - or perhaps an egg-timer.
It is made of white porcelain - with sugar pink and dark raspberry stripes or bands to the base section.
It is a nice size for display, measuring about 6 ½ inches in height - and has a diameter of 4 ½ inches at the widest point.
With no chips or damages.
