These are really cute - and a great wee set if you collect antique Children's Ceramics / Nursery Ware
On offer here are two matching lidded tureens or serving dishes and their oval matching stands or ashets. These date to the late 19th century or early 20th century.
Great little display items and in lovely condition with no chips or cracks.
Each item has a Bishop & Stonier mark to the base: and the word ASHLEY.
Each tureen measures as follows: 13.5 cm handle to handle in length - with a width of 8.5 cm and a height to the top of the handle of 6.5 cm. The stands are roughly about 13 x 10.5 cm.
In 1891 Duncan Bishop and John Stonier created this new company trademark using the first letters of their surnames. The company was taken over by George Jones & Sons in the 1930s - so these wee pieces of nurseryware must date well before that time.
These little miniature pieces are now quite rare and you have to look hard to find these little table-size pieces scaled down for display or children.
These are now hard to find - and I have these priced up at £35 each.
UK Postage would be charged at £4.95 and this would be applied to your order at the checkout.
