This is a rare tin with takes the form of a little picnic basket - you carry it by the tin handle - and it is opened by two flaps in the tops.
The wee tin is decorated all over with transfer printed designs representing summer fruits and berries - tumbling out of a wicker basket.
This would make an interesting storage box - or great addition for a specialist tin collector - in generally good condition commensurate with its age.
These old tin plate transfer decorated picnic boxes are now getting very hard to find.
