This is a pretty piece of vintage hand-blown Scottish art glass. It dates to around the 1950s.
It has a little polished pontil that you find on pieces of Monart glass - but this is a piece of later Vasart glass - with an etched signature on the base.
It is certainly a stunning Vasart vase with lovely pastelcolours and wee swirls. I also like in this one that the glass is very speckled in detail all over. It makes for a lively pattern over the body of the vase.
The base colour is a sugar pink shade from which issues all around green and peppermint swirls with lilac and rose pink coloured swirls, as photographed. The colours are a bit brighter in "real life". It is such a lovely Vasart vase, and you wont be disappointed with it.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
Nice larger size measuring 7 inches in height. The vase flares out towards the rim. The rim at the top measures 7 1/2 inches. The diameter of the base is 3 1/2 inches.
