Jason Wason was born in Liverpool in 1946.
He worked at the Leach Pottery in St Ives, Cornwall from 1976 - 1981. His work must date from this period as is has both the Leach seal and Wason's own seal on the side of the pot (as photographed).
In 1981 he left the Pottery to set up his own one at St Just, near Cornwall. This is an early and rare little lidded pot by him.
Diameter: 6 cm & Overall Height: 5.5 cm. Wason's work is widely exhibited and he has an international reputation.
The price on my little pot is certainly a fair one for an artwork from early in his career.
