This is a very stylish vintage studio pottery vase with a rough finish, matt charcoal glaze and around the neck are three patches of turquoise and green glazes, as photographed.
There is a nice flared neck to the top.
It is 7 inches in height - and with a diameter at the widest of about 4 1/2 inches.
Marked with a lightly impressed stamp, as shown - GS. I think that this is the mark used by the pottery Gel Simon who was based at her own studio called the Walton on Thames Pottery, 41 Ashley Road in Surrey.
It is a very fine and unique piece of mid-century British studio pottery - and looks wonderful on display in a room with Scandi-modern furniture.
A fair price for a "one-off" piece of mid 20th century Art Pottery - I have another three lovely pieces by this artist for sale in my Iconic Edinburgh online shop.
Postage could be capped at £10 if you would like more than one of these fine pots.
