This is a stylish piece of vintage 1960s German costume jewellery.
It is made in Germany as noted by the Ges Gesch ("gesetzlich geschütztmark") copyright mark on the reverse of the pendant. It is also marked below this AH - which is probably the mark for the maker.
It is made of non-precious metal - but it is so beautifully made. It looks very stunning when worn. The pendant consists of a silver-coloured panel with raised edges all around at the front. The front edging has a blush gold tone. It has an inset thick square of abalone that has a subtle luster to it when it catches the light. In the shade, the panel takes on more of a dark beige tone.
It is on a lovely thick chain (again not of a previous metal) but a good quality one with a ring catch. The chain has a total length of 18 inches.
Dimensions: the pendant section is 4 cm x 3.8 cm.
I love it - it is very much 60s chic!
It is in excellent vintage condition for a piece of good quality costume jewellery about 60 years old. There are no damages and it is nice and clean all ready to wear.
It will be posted in a little gift box in a padded envelope. It will be sent with Royal Mail Recorded - this will cost £2.95 and applied to your order at the checkout
