These post-war Sgraffito ceramics by Pearsons are now getting quite hard to find.
This bowl has a fine minimalistic shape and an attractive blue-grey egg-shell finish glaze with a white abstract pattern incised into the body of the bowl.
The pattern is very Festival of Britain in feel and it will look fabulous on display on a mid-century modern or Scandi-modern coffee table or bureau.
It is certainly a most stylish bowl and probably designed by John Spencer, who also worked for Pilkingtons and Langley Pottery.
The diameter is 8 1/4 inches and the height is about 3 inches. It is a nice large size and can be used as a fruit bowl.
Unpacked is is 620 grams in weight.
In perfect condition.
UK postage will be with Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. This will cost £4.95 and will be applied at checkout.
