These post-war Sgraffito ceramics by Pearsons are now getting rather hard to find.
This bowl has a fine minimalistic shape and an attractive blue-grey egg-shell finish glaze with a white abstract pattern incised into the body of the bowl.
The pattern is very Festival of Britain in feel and it will look fabulous on display on a mid-century modern or Scandi-modern coffee table or bureau.
It is certainly a most stylish bowl and probably designed by John Spencer, who also worked for Pilkingtons and Langley Pottery.
The diameter is 8 1/4 inches and the height is about 3 inches. It is a nice large size and can be used as a fruit bowl. Unpacked is is 620 grams in weight. In perfect condition.
UK postage will be with Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
