This is a lovely Swedish Art Pottery Bowl by Upsala Ekesy - probably designed by Mari Simmulson.
Upsala-Ekeby was a porcelain, art pottery and glass company founded in 1886 in Sweden. In 1910, Upsala-Ekeby hired designers for their production of household and art ceramics. In 1964, teh company began a major expansion with the acquisition of Rörstrand.
This shallow bowl is a nice heavy stoneware piece with an incised herringbone pattern incised around the rim.
The diameter is 8 inches in diameter.
There are maker's marks on the base, as photographed. It is in excellent damage-free condition.
