This is an unusual Continental vintage jug or pitcher.
It looks like it might originate from Germany in the 1960s.
It is signed to the base: Sila (a maker that I am not familiar with).
The jug has a thick matt black glaze on the outside - and the white decoration has been cut into the surface to reveal the white colour below.
The design is very mid-century atomic in feel.
My pitcher is a great decorative piece and would look great on show on Scandi-modern furniture.
My fine pot is 7 inches in height - and at its widest point, it is 4 1/2 inches in diameter.
HAPPY TO POST INTERNTIONALLY, PLEASE ASK FOR A POSTAGE QUOTE OUTSIDE OF THE UK.
