This is a collectable moulded teak plywood waste paper bin from the early 1960s. It was made by Mallod UK in the 1960s. Sadly over the last 60 years, it has lost its paper sticker from the base. I have shown my bin advertised in an old Mallod's advert. I have priced it to take the lost label into account.
This version is not one with a sloping rim. It is a more traditional form and is shaped like a bucket.
It is in fine vintage condition, Nice and clean with no damages or splits. There is a tiny fleabite to the rim - but hardly visible, as photographed. The wood has a nice vintage patina. The bin is very thin - so they are vulnerable to damage to the rim. There is a concealed seam where the bentwood teak joins, as photographed.
It measures: The height is 10 1/4 inches (25.5 cm). The diameter at the top is 8 3/4 inches (22 cm) and the diameter of the base is 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm).
It will be sent to you in the UK with Royal Mail Recorded Delivery (Medium Parcel). This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
