This sweet little tubby doggie dates from the 1950s / 1960s. He is made in Murano in Italy.
He has his original red triangular Murano vintage label as photographed.
He is a nice heavy piece - and takes the form of a little puppy. I think probably and Dachshund or Spaniel - at least a brown coloured breed with shorter legs and long dangly ears. Lovely his two little goggly doughnut-shaped eyes and round protruding nose.
This delightful piece of Murano glass is hand blown and unique in its making. The glass is a dark golden amber colour - a bit like dark coloured syrup.
The base where the pontil mark was - has been carefully polished smooth,
A great addition to a glass menagerie - or for the owner of a similar type of dog.
In excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
