This is a beautiful large Highland Stoneware jug, measuring some 6 1/2 inches in height.
It is a fine piece of sturdy pottery with a hand-painted decoration consisting of purple-blue Iris flowers and leaves. The decoration is just fabulous - and all with very painterly images of Iris flowers with lots of green leaves around the base.
A very fine vintage piece and is now highly collectable. In perfect condition.
My asking price is certainly a fair one for this lovely pot.
