On offer is a fine Venetian / Salviati Murano glass finger bowl.
There is no indication to the date of this wee beautifully made bowl - but I am thinking that it must date to the first half of the 20th century.
It is very delicate and a fine piece of hand-blown glass.
The diameter at the top is 4 ¾ inches. The height is 3 inches.
It has frilled rims and has pale pink and gold coloured aventurine twisted caning throughout each piece. It is made using the Zanfirico / Latticino technique - where fine canes have been stretched and twisted to form a glorious lattice pattern.
The bowl has no foot - and the base is concave with a pontil mark - as photographed.
In good vintage condition with no chips or cracks - a couple of wee air bubble in the glass in the making.
